USSEA Community Guidelines
These guidelines apply to the USSEA Community Forum and Ask a Skateboarder. They exist so that skateboarders, parents, coaches, instructors and teachers can talk about skateboarding in a place that is safe to use.
How to take part
- Be respectful. Disagree with the idea, not the person. Newcomers and beginners are welcome here.
- No harassment or bullying. Do not target, mock or pile on to another member.
- No threats. Threats of violence or harm, serious or not, are not allowed.
- No hateful conduct. Attacks on people for who they are have no place here.
- No sexual exploitation. Anything that sexualizes or exploits a person, and especially a child, is removed and reported.
- No illegal content. Do not post anything that breaks the law.
- No private information. Do not post anyone’s private details, and never a child’s name, school, schedule, location or contact details. Do not try to identify or track down other members.
- No scams or spam. No unsolicited selling, repeated promotion or misleading links.
- No impersonation. Do not pretend to be another person, a USSEA educator or USSEA itself.
- No intentionally dangerous advice. Do not encourage anyone to attempt something beyond their ability or without appropriate protective equipment.
What this community is
Discussion here is general skateboarding education and community conversation. It is not medical advice. If someone is hurt or unwell, see a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency service.
Posts are written by community members, not USSEA. USSEA does not verify or endorse community posts, and they are not official USSEA guidance unless clearly identified as official.
Reporting and moderation
If something here breaks these guidelines, report it using the flag on the discussion or reply. USSEA reviews reports and may remove content, edit or lock discussions, and restrict or close accounts for violations.
